Swiss Cheese Fondue - National Dish
Ingredients (4 servings)
- 200g Gruyère grated
- 200g Emmental grated
- 1 garlic clove
- 300ml dry white wine
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp cornstarch + kirsch
- 1 day-old bread cubed
Step-by-Step
- Rub caquelon with garlic.
- Heat wine + lemon, melt cheese slowly stirring in figure-8.
- Mix cornstarch + kirsch, thicken.
- Season pepper, nutmeg. Keep warm.
- Dip bread, don't lose it!
